Frequent Asked Questions

  • You do not have to be married or in a relationship to receive my services. Being a Marriage and Family Therapist doesn’t inform who I serve exclusively but HOW I serve. I take a systemic approach to help all clients assess their relationship to their presenting problem.

  • During your consultation, you can expect to get to know me as a therapist and share your therapeutic goals. From here we will decide if we are a good fit for one another to move on into a therapist-client relationship.

  • As your therapist, you can expect a safe space for you to be transparent. Despite the commonality of presenting issues, everyone experiences them differently. Therefore, every client can expect to have a tailored therapeutic experience that will highlight their individual needs. After your consultation, you can expect to be an active participant in your mental health journey.

  • Yes, therapy is confidential. The only occurrences that I will be mandated to breach confidentiality are if…

    1) The client poses an imminent danger to themselves or others.

    2) There is a report or suspected incident of child/elder abuse or neglect.

    3) If the therapist receives a qualifying court order.

  • If you are a close friend or family member, I cannot serve you as a client as it poses an ethical dilemma called dual relationship. Maintaining a dual relationship will hinder the therapeutic relationship and the ultimate progress of the client.

  • I am licensed to practice in the state of Georgia. Therefore, I can only see clients who reside in the state of Georgia.

  • All services are provided virtually at this time.

  • You will have access to a Client Portal where you will submit your debit/credit card information. You will be provided with an invoice via email and your card will be charged up to 24 hours before your scheduled session.

  • I do not accept insurance as I value having the flexibility to work with my clients on their terms. It’s not ideal to have another party outside of the therapeutic relationship dictate how many sessions clients are allotted or how therapy should be conducted.
